Debbie Strome (née Nyman)
Camp Director, Instructor
I founded Extreme Ice in the 1999, after working 11 years in the hockey business. My background includes teaching Technical Power Skating; Over Speed Acceleration; and Body Checking. Working with players from all levels up to Junior A and coaching Tyke Level to Bantam Rep level teams has given me the experience to enable me to tie my programs closely to the game, providing a more interesting and improved learning experience for players. I truly believe that if a player understands why they are learning a specific skill or concept, it allows for quicker learning. I also believe that for learning to be interesting, it also needs to be fun. Extreme Ice offers players a fun environment to advance their game skills. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to email or call! Nat Christensen Hockey Instructor - Stick handling/Puck Control Nat is currently playing semi pro hockey with the WNHL's Vancouver Griffin's. Her experience and knowledge is based on being a player (since she was 3!), coach, evaluator and instructor. She is involved as Head Coach for the Abbotsford Female Minor Hockey Association, as well as a coach in the BCAHA Best Ever program. Nat owns and operates the Xtreme Stick Handling school in the lower mainland. With Nat's skills and experience, she is a valuable asset to Extreme Ice.
